LanguageCorps offers our TESOL Certification Program in Florence: a four-week training course that include 120+ hours of classroom time and, the most important part of any quality TESOL certificate course, at least 6 hours of Observed Teaching Practice with local EFL students.

Participants are prepared to teach English effectively in any classroom in the world. Designed for those with or without previous teaching experience, this intensive training program includes instruction from experienced trainers, classroom observation of professional teachers, and teaching practice with language learners. Participants learn how to lead classes using the communicative approach, teaching students to use real-world language for real-world situations. Upon graduation, trainees will be able to teach adult ESL/EFL classes of different levels, feel comfortable choosing the right material to teach a given class, and complement their classes with audio-visual aids.

You will have access to the center's resource room which includes a wide variety of up-to-date books on methodology, grammar, and activities for use in the classroom. You will be working in large, modern classrooms, and you will have access to a quiet workroom for lesson preparation and self-study complete with computer and internet access. The training center has excellent facilities and resources and provides trainees with all materials, course books and photocopying needed for the course.

The Florence TESOL Certification Program Fee is US$1,995*.Accommodations are available with host families near the Training Center for an additional cost of approximately US$1500 (including two meals per day),, or in shared apartments ranging from approximately US$550-$850 (accommodations are paid in Euros).
